Our Pediatricians

Jeffrey P. Bourne, MD, FAAP

Dr. Jeffrey Bourne is a board-certified pediatrician and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in English Literature from the University of Puget Sound, his Bachelor of Science Degree in Molecular Biology from the University of Washington, and his Medical Doctorate Degree from the University of Washington School of Medicine. Following his residency at Kapiolani Medical Center for Women & Children in Hawaii, he practiced pediatrics for 10 years in Southern Florida. Dr. Bourne then moved to California in 2004, joined with Dr. Levy and became a partner at Kiddox Medical Group. He serves on the Pediatric Committees at both Providence Saint John’s Health Center and UCLA Santa Monica. He has also been the Chairman of Pediatrics at Providence Saint John’s Health Center and Hospital for the past five years. In his free time Dr. Bourne enjoys all water sports, especially kite boarding and wake boarding. He is an aspiring magician and is a member of the Magic Castle. He is married and has two busy little boys both under the age of five.


Richard F. Levy, MD FAAP

Dr. Richard Levy has been in private pediatric practice in Santa Monica since 1973. His early studies were done at the University of Rochester in New York State. There he majored in English as well as premed studies. Dr. Levy later attended Medical School at State University of New York—Downstate in Brooklyn and completed two years of pediatric residency at New York Medical College. His last year of pediatrics was at Tufts New England Medical in Boston. Dr. Levy also served in the United States Air Force between 1971 and 1973, just before moving to California. He’s married to Vivian, a third grade teacher, has a step-daughter and two wonderful grandchildren. He is particularly interested in behavioral problems of children and reading biographies.



Kavitha R. Bhatia, MD, FAAP

Dr. Kavitha Bhatia is a board-certified pediatrician and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Bhatia received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Physiology and Neuroscience with the honors of Phi Beta Kappa and graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of California, San Diego. She received her medical degree from the UCLA School of Medicine and was awarded Letters of Distinction. She continued her pediatric training and residency at UCLA. She practiced as a pediatric Hospitalist primarily working with pediatric transplant patients at UCLA Westwood. She joined Kiddox Medical Group in 2008 to practice general pediatrics. Her practice is shaped by her most formative experiences which have been her work in orphanages with Mother Teresa in Calcutta, mentoring youth in underserved areas of Los Angeles and raising her own three children. She continues to have a special dedication to charitable care and contributes to many causes such as WCI (The World Children’s Initiative), March of Dimes and The Make A Wish Foundation.


Dolly K. Weisserman, MD, FAAP

Dr. Dolly Weisserman is a board-certified pediatrician and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology at the University of Michigan. Dr. Weisserman received her medical degree from the Medical College of Ohio. She continued her residency in Pediatrics at Children’s Hospital of Michigan. Dr. Weisserman practiced pediatrics in Michigan for 12 years and then in Florida for 2 years before joining Kiddox Medical Group in 2014. She is married and the mother of two wonderful boys.




S. Daniel Ganjian, MD, FAAP

Daniel Ganjian, MD, FAAP, received a bachelor’s degree with highest honors from University of California, Los Angeles, and a medical degree from University of California, Irvine.  He completed training in pediatrics with an emphasis in obesity at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center and Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital in New York. Dr. Ganjian has a special interest in fighting childhood obesity with his expertise as a board-certified pediatrician and certified personal trainer. He has published original research in multiple journals.  He speaks four languages and enjoys spending time with his wife, two sons and daughter.




Leslie Kessler, RN, MSN, CPNP

A Los Angeles native, Leslie Kessler, earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing at Columbia University in New York and returned to Los Angeles to begin her career at UCLA Hospital, working in the Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplant Unit. She then earned her Master’s Degree in Nursing at UCLA, specializing as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP). For 30 years, Leslie has practiced as a PNP in various pediatric settings while raising four children, now all grown. She has been at Kiddox Medical Group since 1993 where she incorporates her wealth of academic, clinical and parenting experience in caring for our patients.
